Job Description
An experienced and dedicated RN Instructor is sought to lead training programs for the Personal Care Aide Training Program (PCATP) and Home Health Aide Training Program (HHATP). This role focuses on preparing future home health aides with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary for success in the field ensuring training aligns with all relevant regulations. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or Yiddish is preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and conducting comprehensive training sessions for PCATP and HHATP ensuring adherence to state and agency regulations.
- Developing updating and managing curriculum and training materials to reflect current best practices and industry standards.
- Providing handson instruction in clinical skills patient care and home care fundamentals.
- Assessing trainee performance through practical demonstrations and exams.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment to foster student engagement and address inquiries.
- Keeping thorough records of training sessions and student evaluations meeting all documentation requirements.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State.
- At least two years of nursing experience including one year in home care at an approved Article 36 or Article 40 agency (or outofstate equivalent).
- Experience in teaching or training preferred.
- Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to engage diverse learning styles and support an inclusive training environment.
