Position Summary: The Field Service Support Manager oversees a team of technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support ensuring efficient billing scheduling and project management. This role is pivotal in maintaining strong customer relationships and facilitating effective communication between customers and internal teams.
Work Youll Do:
Manage a team of technicians to ensure timely and effective responses to customer inquiries and service requests.
Sometimes handle afterhours customer and technician communications to provide ongoing technical support.
Develop and implement internal training programs and crosstraining initiatives with other service groups.
Monitor and report on department metrics related to utilization revenue margin and bookings in collaboration with the Finance team.
Assist with job estimates technician travel issues and management of calibrated tools.
Occasional travel to customer site for planning purposes for the service team.
Team: You will be part of the Customer Support Job Family Group collaborating with various departments and operating companies within the Hillenbrand umbrella to ensure consistent and highquality service delivery to all customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Management experience with direct reports.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer support or field service management role.
Proven leadership experience managing a team of technical professionals.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the manufacturing or technical services industry.
Familiarity with metrics related to service utilization revenue and margin analysis.
Certification in project management or related fields.
Previous experience in developing training programs for technical staff.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.
