Responsibilities:
Serve in the best interest of your clients during real estate closings in real estate disputes and real estate litigation
Coordinate detailed due diligence and inspect title examination closing binder and legal documents for legal risk completion and accuracy
Cooperate with city boards and agencies to obtain permits and avoid zoning legal issues
Negotiate real estate transaction terms and conditions and facilitate the transfer of title between borrowers real estate agents and title company
Oversee support staff such as paralegals and clerks
Represent clients in court or before government agencies
Advise clients on business and legal transactions
Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
Comply with all legal standards and regulations
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Handle residential and commercial landlordtenantrelated disputes with the potential to handle corresponding litigation disputes
Qualifications:
Outstanding research negotiation networking and communication skills are necessary
Be a member of your local bar association and hold a current law license in the state
3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney as a transactional attorney or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm
A Juris Doctorate (J.D. degree from an accredited law school is required
Relevant knowledge of property management land use title insurance business law and residential and commercial real estate law including litigation
