Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Provides high quality comprehensive therapeutic direct and indirect care for the patient which is supportive of the care given by the Physical/Occupational Therapy Department.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Oneyear experience with patients preferred. Two years college with classes in anatomy exercise physiology or health and sports science preferred.
LICENSURE CERTIFICATION and/or REGISTRATION: CPR Certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with patient care treatment under the supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist to meet the goals and needs of the patient.
- Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
- Communicates in a professional manner with patients physicians and staff.
- Performs various administrative inventory and organizational duties to meet the needs of the department.
- Promotes professional growth and provides community education and/or committee representation.
- Maintains safe and clean treatment areas.
