Position Overview: Reporting to the Manager of Recreation the Supervisor of Aquatics is responsible for overseeing the Aquatic Centre operation at Elevation Place. This position is responsible for setting the direction for a diverse team while cultivating a culture of wellness respect integrity service and teamwork. This position is also responsible for maintaining the consistent delivery of highquality indoor aquatic experiences which take into consideration multiuse and the needs of residents and visitors. The Aquatics Supervisor is a member of the Recreation Senior Leadership Team contributing to the strategic direction of recreation services for the Town of Canmore. As a member of the Recreation Services leadership team the Supervisor of Aquatics will oversee the Aquatics leadership and operations team providing daily direction and operational objectives. Set the strategic direction to implement a diverse range of aquatic programs that cater to the needs of the community.
This position will require an inperson presence to perform the assigned tasks associated with the role. Therefore this will not be a hybrid eligible position. The ideal person for this position is someone who has a strong background in building community creating safe and welcoming spaces enhancing quality of life and increasing participation in recreation programs and services. The ideal candidate will be an active leader with a collaborative work style effective organizational skills outstanding conflict resolution skills demonstrate a high degree of business acumen and must have excellent relationship skills.
