WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environment.
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
- Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.
- Modify existing software to correct errors to adapt to new hardware or to improve its performance.
- Design develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
- Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project.
- Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing system resource or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team products.
- Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities performance requirements and interfaces.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.
- Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.

Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Fourteen 14 years of experience as a Software Engineerin programs and contracts of similar scope type andcomplexity is required.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Scienceor a related discipline from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelors degree an additional four 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Candidate must have 10 years minimum UI development and design.
- Candidate must have 10 years minimum of demonstrated use of version control systems (ex. Git).
- Proficiency in HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of React and its ecosystem.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Good problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Good UI design concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with the development team to translate design mockups into functional features.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall code quality.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
- Demonstrated ability in customizing UI for mission/site needs.
- Demonstrated ability in UI troubleshooting and testing.
- Demonstrated ability in preparing and editing technical documentation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React.js workflows.
- Familiarity with newer specifications of 508Compliance.
- Experience with HTML5 UI frameworks for building interactive and highperformance applications.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token.
- Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot existing JavaScript scripts.
- Familiar with software development languages such as Java.
- Potential candidate may be asked to assist developers in reviewing code for troubleshooting purposes.
