The Opportunity:
First National Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator in our Infrastructure and Operations team reporting to Manager IT Infrastructure & Operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problemsolving skills and a proven history in implementing maintaining troubleshooting and migrating to Azure from on premise.
How you will contribute:
- Maintain our Azure Landing Zone to be compliant and prepared to take on new workloads.
- Installing configuring and managing Virtual networks Subnets DHCP DNS Network Security Groups Load Balancers application Gateway and Traffic Manager
- Responsible for monitoring the Azure infrastructure to ensure its availability performance and security.
- Implementing and managing Azure backup
- Manage Azure RBAC (rolebased access control)
- Implement and manage cloudbased monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloudbased infrastructure and services.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to cloudbased systems to ensure they are secure and up to date.
- Document cloud infrastructure and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
The experience you need:
- PostSecondary Education in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline
- 3 years experience with IaaS and PaaS components of Microsoft Azure
- Intermediate to Expert Knowledge in Knowledge of Azure CLI Powershell and Bicep
- Azure AD and Active Directory
- Experience deploying infrastructure as code.
- Strong communication skills planning organization documentation and project management skills
- ITIL Foundations
- Experience working as individual and in a team able to lead prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment and provide or make sound decisions in emergencies.
- VMware Horizon (nice to have)
Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:
- Office environment
- Periods of high volume with tight timelines
- Long periods of stationary position/sitting
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)
- Long periods of time in viewing a computer screen
- Multitasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer program.
