Job Description
Glynn CountyGeorgia is recruiting for the position of Senior Planner. TheSenior Planner is responsible for the reviewof development applications for compliance with county codes and ordinances andto perform advanced professional planning and zoning duties.
The Senior Planner providesinformation and technical assistance to citizens property owners land developerscontractors architects development review team staff members the media orother individuals/agencies regarding planning/zoning issues codes/ordinancesbuilding permits plan reviews procedures forms or other issues; responds toroutine questions or complaints; researches problems and initiates problem resolution;meets with customers as requested.
Glynn County is located along the Atlantic coast in southeasternGeorgia midway between Savannah Georgia and Jacksonville Florida.
The area ranks as one of the top tourist destinations in thenation. Known as The Golden Isles the countys mainland is surrounded bybarrier islands including Jekyll Island Saint Simons Island and Sea Island.Featuring 207 holes of golf as well as beautiful beaches on the islands thiscoastal location is a haven for residents and visitors alike. The positionrequires the successful candidate to meet the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree in planning or a related field.
Four 4 years of professional planning experience.
Masters degree preferred.
Certification with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)preferred.
The hiring range for this position is $61276 to $97988. The first review of resumes is December 20th 2024.
