The Opportunity
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant in our Cardiology Service you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role including the development and provision of evidencebased clinical nursing while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The opportunity also allows you to act as a clinical expert professional role model and change agent to promote practice development and quality initiatives that promote the delivery of safe efficient and highquality customer service.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset with the drive to succeed in a wardbased clinical leadership and mentor role. Your passion for patient care and a high standard of customerfocused service will be matched by your ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
You will have exceptional clinical nursing skills customer service strong communication and interpersonal skills and also meet the following criteria:
- Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Registered Nurse with senior experience in Cardiology
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area
- Demonstrated experience in providing education to the team
- Ability to assess plan coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
- Knowledge and experience in Quality/Continuous Improvement processes
