Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
Job Title: Emergency Medicine
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Location: Berlin Vermont
Service Setting: Outpatient
Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Coverage Period: July 1 Sep 30 2025
Shift Schedule: Variable shifts 7 AM 10 AM 2 PM 4 PM 11 PM)

PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: General Emergency Department patients
Patient Volume/Census: 1.5 patients per hour
Case Mix: Standard Emergency Medicine cases

FACILITY INFORMATION
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff Available: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) present; locum provider responsible for supervision

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

BENEFITS
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Standard emergency procedures per credentialing pathways including:
Endotracheal intubation
Central venous access
Other resuscitative procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Active VT License
BC/BE
BLS ACLS PALS

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
Perform required emergency procedures
Supervise APPs as needed
Maintain professional collegial work culture valuing teamwork and worklife balance
