About the role:

This position is situated within MacKillop Education Geelong (MacKillop Specialist School P12 and reports to the Primary Leader. MacKillop Education informed by our Catholic ethos and values is committed to equity and access to learning for all children and young people. The Learning and Diversity Teacher is a member of our Geelong campus team. They will work collaboratively to develop and deliver highly effective and engaging learning programs that are suited to the diverse needs of our students and meet the requirements of the Victorian Curriculum.

This is a FullTime Fixed Term 38 hours per week until 31/12/2025 opportunity based in Geelong within our MacKillop Education (Geelong campus) program. The position reports to the Primary Leader.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • A fouryear teaching qualification or equivalent and eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Early childhood training and/or experience is welcomed but not essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in implementing highly aspirational initiatives in student learning informed by the Victorian Curriculum.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
