Powderpuff Assistant Coach Position Description
Regina High School seeking assistant coaches for the annual Powderpuff football season at Regina High School. The season begins the last week of July and ends after the Powderpuff game on a Saturday morning in midSeptember. Coaching staff reports directly to the senior class moderators. Coach is responsible for all senior class members participating in Regina Powderpuff. The coach will be required to follow the procedures of Regina Powderpuff as well as those of Regina High School.
Responsibilities Include: - Assists in planning and implementing team activities practices player placements and game plans
- Teaches studentathletes safe and fundamental techniques of the sport throughout the season
- Maintains sufficient communication with athletes parents assistant coaches moderators and Regina Administration
- Works in collaboration and cooperation with the moderators recommending the purchase of equipment and supplies
- Communicates Powderpuff rules especially those involving safety of players to studentathletes parents and moderators
- Oversees or helps oversee maintenance safety of and cleanliness of equipment supplies and the practice facility
- Promote individual growth in athletic skills teamwork discipline respect and good sportsmanship throughout the program
- Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements: - Coaching experience preferred but not required
- Must have understanding of technical aspect of football
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must complete Protecting Gods Children through the Archdiocese of Detroit if not completed already
- Must submit to new background check
- Must have valid CPR certificate or obtain one
