The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Fairfax Virginia Annapolis Junction Maryland El Segundo California or Huntington Beach California.
The position will involve creating software for world class next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept requirements architecture design and development of a future system. Position Responsibilities:
Assists with the development documentation and maintenance of architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Supports software project management and software supplier management functions
Selects tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics
Performs software research and trade studies
Troubleshoots software issues
Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1 years of experience designing and developing software for a realtime or nonrealtime system
1 years of experience with C/C coding or java/python script development
1 years of experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira Confluence Bitbucket etc. or similar tools/tools suite
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 years of experience designing and developing software for a realtime or nonrealtime system
Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
Experience automating software builds unit tests integration tests deployment and installations using a DevOps tool chain for example using GitLab Jenkins Nexus and Artifactory
Experience using GitLab
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 2 (Associate Level)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
