The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an associate experiencedor senior ElectrophysicsEngineerto join the Ridley Park PA Vertical Lift Flight Technologies team in providing world class rotorcraft products and engineering support to both US and foreign military customers.

Our team is responsible for ensuring aircraft and integrated subsystem performance in areas of electromagnetics (EM) antennas and combat survivability for the H47 Chinook tandem rotor helicopter the V22 Osprey tiltrotor helicopter and the MH139A Grey Wolf USAF helicopter along with other Boeing rotorcraft platforms and research projects. This position has responsibilities which include: creating effective Electromagnetics (EM) solutions for aircraft integration of subsystems supporting computational EM and Survivability modeling & simulation analyses for design trade studies and requirements verification and also supporting EM testing of electronic subsystems and aircraft. The position will work closely with senior electrophysics engineering teammates and will interface with all other integrated product teams (e.g. Mission Systems/Avionics Electrical Structures Systems Engineering etc).

Position Responsibilities: Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Assists in developing and documenting requirements and verification strategies for various communication sensor electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components

• Performs analysis to predict component and aircraft performance to established requirements

• Conducts testing to validate performance of designs to requirements

• Reviews supplier data to ensure compliance to requirements

• Provides guidance to design engineering teams during development activities

• Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle

• Supports project management by gathering and delivering accurate project status data

• Gathers information to support development proposals in support of new business opportunities

• Works under supervision

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):(see education and experience for the levels below)

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.

• 1 or more years of experience and/or significant coursework or training in any of the following areas:electromagnetics antennas radio frequency (RF) propagation electromagnetic interference / electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) platform survivability computer modeling & simulation computer programming/scripting.

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master.

Level 3

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Level 4

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for midlevel: $104550 $141450
