Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct experiments linked to the competitive ISCIII project about the role of the lipid endocannabinoid signalling in pulmonary fibrosis.
- Design and perform in vitro experiments using pulmonary cell lines and the use of pharmacological endocannabinoid to test the impact in cell proliferation functionality and activation.
- Perform in vivo mouse experiments using pulmonary fibrosis models in genetic knockout mice; perform the molecular and histological analysis on the obtained samples.
- Process human samples for further analysis of endocannabinoid measurements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Bachelors Degree in biomedical sciences Master in immunology or biomedical sciences
- Catalan and Spanish English knowledge will be a plus.
- Strong experience in molecular biology techniques (DNA RNA ELISA Western Blot) biochemical analysis in advanced cell culture techniques and in cell functional analysis such as measurement of phagocytosis NETosis radical oxygen species and myeloperoxidase assays including flow cytometry are necessary
- Having the title for experimental animal handling is mandatory (genotyping harvest and sample processing techniques will be considered as a plus)
- Basic knowledge of biostatistics and data analysis.
- Knowledge in bioinformatic tools such as knowing R studio use for data analysis is a plus.
- Wellorganised person and goaltargeted is well valued.
- Skills in scientific communication and writing will be a plus.
- To be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Take an active part of the team.

- Start date: 1st of April 2025.
- Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
