Primary Purpose Of Position
The Department of Social Work and Sociology is a supportive community of committed faculty and practitioners who prepare students to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Degree options include the Bachelor of Sociology the Bachelor of Social Work a Master of Social Work (offered with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and a Ph.D. in Social Work (offered with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Both the Bachelor and Masters Social work programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education CSWE . We are committed to excellence in education by preparing our students to face complex social problems with knowledge of evidenced based practice and creative solutions. Our curriculum and internships provide learning opportunities that foster leadership to promote the development of social and economic justice through practice and community engaged scholarship.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a PhD in social work or PhD in a closely related field and a MSW from an accredited School of Social Work. Rank will be determined by the candidates experience and qualifications.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Candidates with evidence of research productivity are preferred. Clinical experience and a LCSW are preferred.
