The successful Product Development Engineer will be responsible for:
- Analyse existing products to identify areas for improvement and update documentation.
- Propose and approve alternative components for company products where necessary.
- Identify and liaise with suppliers to source suitable materials and products.
- Collaborate with key suppliers and attend market events to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Conceptualise new product ideas and design prototypes using CAD software as required.
- Test products during the design process to troubleshoot potential issues.
- Finetune designs to ensure they are productionready.
- Deliver product specifications and procedures to manufacturing and test teams.
- Produce documentation and provide training for new products.
- Contribute to departmental and businesswide KPI objectives.
The successful Product Development Engineer will have:
- Minimum qualifications at HND or Degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience and training).
- Experience in Power Electronics Design MicroProcessor Hardware Design MicroProcessor Software Programming PCB Layout Design and Analogue Circuit Design.
