If you seek to lead people and inspire teamwork your skills and expertise may be an excellent resource for the Maricopa County Library District!As the Library Supervisor for our North Valley Regional Library you will collaborate with staff and community organizations to plan and implement dynamic public programs and displays while providing excellent customer service to all ages. In this role you will also support the library Branch Manager.

We Require
One year of professional library experience
Masters degree in Library Science from an American Library Associated (ALA) accredited school
We Also Value

Job Contributions
Interviews trains supervises and evaluates assigned branch staff
Plans and conducts programs for the public
Provides exceptional customer service by responding to customer queries and concerns assisting customers with digital devices and promoting all material types and products
Assists with scheduling staff and authorizes leave to ensure an equitable distribution of work and adequate staffing
Assists with establishing evaluating and revising branch goals objectives policies and procedures
Identifies needs and provides recommendations for improving branch operastions (use of space equipment staffing training etc.
Helps to work with high school as necessary including maintenance safety and security of the branch
Acts on behalf of Large Branch Manager in his/her absence
Acts as a liaison to outside organizations and serves on standing and/or adhoc committees
Working Conditions
This library is located on the campus of Boulder Creek High School and operates as a jointuse facility where the library is open to students and the public
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs. frequently or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree
Must complete a background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to secure and maintain an Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
