Job Description

Description

The Benchtop Production Technician will be responsible for producing and assembling advanced tactical electrical systems for use by U.S. Marines in tactical environments. This role involves handson work reading engineering drawings soldering bench testing and assembly of electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing soldering and assembly of electronic components and circuits according to engineering drawings and schematics
  • Testing and verifying the functionality of assembled systems
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards
  • Maintaining a clean organized and efficient workspace
  • Collaborating with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and improve production processes
  • Documenting production activities and maintain accurate records
  • Staying updated on new technologies and industry best practices

Environment:This role is based in Charleston SC and involves working in a production environment focused on the development of advanced tactical electrical systems. The technician will work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of handson experience in production and assembly of electrical systems particularly for tactical environments
  • Proficient in soldering techniques and working with various connectors
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience with assembly and testing of electronic components and circuits
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and adherence to quality control standards
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Desired Skills

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with automated soldering equipment and surface mount technology (SMT)
  • Knowledge of PCB design and fabrication processes
  • Familiarity with MILSTD specifications and militarygrade components
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
