Shipping Supervisor
Swan Products LLC is a leading manufacturer of lawn and garden watering products in North America. Founded in 1927 as the Swan River Tire and Rubber Company we are one of the original manufacturers of hoses in the industry. As a privately held company we retain our position in the market with strategically placed manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
Job Summary
The Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the goods and services ensuring quality and quantity finished goods warehouse storage and shipment processing to avoid delays and possible customer complaints. The Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor keeps track of the incoming and outgoing deliveries by maintaining an organized record in the companys database. The candidate must have excellent communication and supervising skills. The ideal candidate will be a selfmotivated quick learner with a bias for action and must have an eye for detail. The person must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure a culture of success is maintained.
Primary functions and duties
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prioritizes outbound shipments according to customer requirements.
- Direct supervision of Warehouse employees
- Oversees quality inspection of all outbound shipments.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in materials for storage and shipment. Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product other packaging and labelling requirements.
- Inspects products and returns rejected products to production departments.
- Focus on Quality and targets Zero Error Rates
- Supervises employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and in preparing items for shipment.
- Arrange warehousing and transportation of products to customers.
- Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Supervise the activities of shipping / packaging / raw material warehouse personnel to maintain a smooth flow of work.
- Supervise and support packaging activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a transportation warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Forklift experience required

- Commensurate with experience

Typical Schedule
- 3rd shift Monday to Friday 11p7a some weekends required. Flexibility with work schedule required.
