Internship - Source Mask Optimization

Introduction

Job Mission

As a member in the Source & Mask Optimization group you will contribute to the continuing shrink of semiconductor devices through resolution enhancement match the imaging performance across a fleet of scanners and assist in future scanner design.

Job Description

In Source & Mask Optimization group:

• Conduct research and software development to cooptimize the light source lenses and mirrors and dose and focus settings within the XT NXT and NXE scanners as well as the photomask patterns their subresolution assist features and their target design.
• Use the optical physics modern optimization and machine learning algorithms and/or C/Python software design.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Must be pursuing a MS or PhD degree in physics electrical engineering applied mathematics computer science data science or related relevant field of engineering
• Knowledge of or familiar with scientific simulation numerical methods image processing optimization computational geometry machine learning data sciences is a good plus.
• Experience / knowledge of or familiar C Python or other objectoriented software development.
• Solid understanding in data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of or familiar with developing and debugging multithreaded/parallel applications.
• Familiar with UNIX environment and scripting languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• This position is located onsite in San Jose CA. It requires onsite presence to attend inperson workrelated events trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork collaboration and innovation.
• Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard finger handle and feel; stoop kneel crouch twist reach and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be willing to work in a clean room environment wearing coveralls hoods booties safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard finger handle and feel; stoop kneel crouch twist reach and stretch.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 $53.00. Pay scales are determined by role level location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to jobrelated skills relevant education and experience certifications abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
