Full Time 80 Hours Per Pay Period Day Shift

Thompson Oncology Group (TOG) is a leader in medical oncology services and provides patients access to all proven drugbased treatments and the latest clinical trial medicines. Our team of boardcertified fellowshiptrained medical oncologists and certified advanced practice providers deliver onsite care and treatment including chemotherapy immunotherapy targeted therapy and hormone therapy at affiliated infusion centers throughout our region.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy support to a welldefined patient population through the utilization of advanced skills in a focused area of pathophysiology/pharmacology.

Responsibilities
- Knowledge of all pharmacist activities and performs such duties as requested.
- Provide support/consultative services to physicians nurses and other healthcare providers regarding drug therapy decisions. Provide comprehensive inpatient/outpatient drug therapy management through physician consult.
- Responsible for quality assessment quality improvement and written policies and procedures within specialty area.
- Responsible for overall reporting/documentation of suspected adverse drug reactions and medication occurrence.
- Responsible for ensuring the optimal provision of drug therapy for the purpose of achieving outcomes which improve a patients quality of life.
- Manage any unit specific patient care problems relative to pharmacy.
- Responsible for patient education as applicable within the specialty area.
- Responsible for compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and requirements.
- Demonstrates knowledge and competency in providing for agespecific needs of the population served.
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Participate in community education programs to provide drug information. Participate in the health system employee education programs to provide drug information.
- Development of clinical pathways via multidisciplinary approach.
- Precept pharmacy students in specialty area.
- Serve as a member of Covenant Health Systems Formulary Committee and FSRMC Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Present drug monographs or drug information as requested by the committee. Monitor nonformulary medication usage and provide recommendations for alternative therapy when appropriate.
- Responsible for rotation of 24 hour call for clinical services.
- Attend meetings as required and participates on committees as assigned or requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:.
None specified; however must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Licensure Requirements:
Current TN pharmacist license.
