We are searching for aLongTerm Care Assistant to join our Orchard Courtteam based in KentvilleNova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
- Spending one on one time with residents to provide company meaningful and appropriate conversation and support
- Answering call bells and redirecting residents when appropriate
- Supporting residents in recreation programming
- Assisting residents with eating under the direction of nursing staff
- Employee screening including measuring and recording temperatures
- Promoting and enforcing social distancing protocols
- Monitoring points of entry
- Assisting with family visits meal services daily activities and other tasks such as using technology
- Performing light housekeeping duties for residents (bed making linen delivery cleaning)
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring:
- A postsecondary education have valid CPR/First Aid training Food Handlers Certification and/or experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Previous work experience that is client focused safety minded and covers a broad skillset.
- Available to work shifts on days evenings weekends and holidays.
- You are adaptable friendly and eager to provide assistance where necessary.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations services and care.
