Piping Materials Engineer on Plastics Pyrolysis Project for an initial 6 month contract role that has an immediate start and a target limited company rate to man of circa 60.00 per hour. PLEASE ADVISE IF HIGHER RATE SOUGHT The position is based in KBRs Leatherhead Campus with Hybrid working 3 Days in office minimum). This is nonnegotiable due to project and client requirements. The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment Job Responsibilities: Develop deliverables including Piping Material Classes Technical Specifications and Requisitions. Create/amend technical specifications for new equipment scope utilizing expert inputs where applicable. Interface with other engineering disciplines as well as supporting disciplines. Work individually or as part of a team in the home office and possibly abroad. Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines. Adhere to KBR WAY engineering standards and procedures as well as provide input to their development and enhancement. Perform surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities. Lead contract technical and project meetings Resolution activities for multidisciplinary technical issues and queries Skills / Experience: Essential Knowledge of applicable industry standards (ASME B31.3 API BS EN etc). Working knowledge of PED 2014/68/EU Technical knowledge of different Valves and Special Piping Items. Package Responsible Engineer with experience working with valves. Strong technical understanding of valves and project methodologies Experience on large EPC projects. Keen to knowledge share with Engineers located in Leatherhead and in other offices. Good communication skills. Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng) or Material Engineering Degree (BEng) Chartered Engineer Status (desirable)
