Job Description
Company:
Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Space Assembler to support the Space Mission Systems Operations team in El Segundo CA! This role will directly support the manufacturing build of space electronics.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required
- Ability to assemble by soldering components on space qualified PWBs slices units and superunits
- Make interconnects by soldering point to point or by building wire harnesses using qualified soldering crimping and splicing techniques
- Cleans equipment and work areas as required
- Performs rework of the same nature and level of difficulty as described
- Perform basic commands on PC
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience in an electronics assembly production environment
Ability to use manual fine motor skills or similar handson work
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous certification to NASA STDs and/or IPC JSTD001

Additional Information:
- This is an hourly position governed by the CMM&IC 721. New employees as well as employees who transfer from nonunion positions will be considered on probation for ninety 90 calendar days from the date of their most recent employment
