We are in search for a Software Developer who is enrolled in a Coop Program looking for an 8month coop term starting in May or a new grad looking for an 8month contract to help our Finance & Operations team utilize AI for Binary Stream products.
Reporting to the Technical Product Manager the Software Developer Coop is responsible for R&D on artificial intelligence to see how we can utilize AI for Binary Stream products. This involves prototyping the approved concepts in order to identify and solve complex technical problems and carry out research in relevant areas deliver solutions for Binary Stream and helping create products or services. The person would need to collaborate with multiple development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle application development; Tailor software solutions customizations and enhancements for customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/F&O.
- The duties of the Software Developer Coop also include participating in R&D of Artificial Intelligence develop AI features relevant to Binary Stream products
- Produces clean and efficient code based on requirement documents following Binary Stream guidelines and best practices.
- Creates technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Conducts unit testing and debugging of new and existing systems.
- Troubleshoots level 1 tickets following Binary Stream ticket tracking and documentation guidelines.
- Demos the solutions to the other development team members (QA / Dev team).
- Conducts research & development on existing product features
- Collaborates with the team and shares feedback including what went well and what we can improve.
Experience and Education
- Enrolled in the coop program completing your Bachelors in Computer Science or Masters program in related studies ideally looking for your second coop term or recently graduated.
- Working knowledge of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) software is an asset.
- Experience with SQL Server .NET object oriented concepts (ie. JAVA C# etc. and other MS tools.
- Working experience with technologies such as AI Power BI and IOT.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services (ie. Azure AWS or Google Cloud Platform).

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment while handling interruptions as part of the routine.
- Continuous improvement philosophy with a strong ability to take initiative suggest changes for process improvements and effectively communicate this to other team members and the Director or Manager.
Compensation
- Wage: $25 $33 per hour.
