Job Description

Job Summary:We are looking for a General Sales Manager to join our growing team! The right candidate will be goaloriented and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the sales department and providing leadership and guidance to all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for profitability in new and used vehicle departments.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts for new and used vehicle departments.
  • Hire mentor and monitor the performance of sales managers business managers and sales representatives.
  • Maintain superior customer service (CSI) through dealership culture.
  • Review critical metrics daily for the salesdepartment and make necessary adjustments to increase production.
  • Assist in developing an advertising and marketing plan.
  • Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process.
  • Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network.
  • Provide training and support to all staff.
  • Assist sales managers in closing deals and attracting more customers.

Qualifications

  • Consistent track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum 35 years of automotive management experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of inventory control
  • Strong computer and phone skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Ambitious goal oriented and able to work within a dynamic environment
  • Valid drivers license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
