    SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Dutch Clark Assistant Principal assists the building principal in organizing and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth. This includes such responsibilities as: leading directing counseling and supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective parent teacher and child communications; supporting encouraging mentoring and evaluating staff; fostering teamwork between teachers and among staff and parents; and managing budget items. The assistant principal acts in the capacity of the principal during the principals absence from the school. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.     REQUIRED:
    • Masters degree in Education or related field
    • Colorado Principal License within 60 days from date of hire
    • Five 5 years of successful teaching or leadership experience at the elementary or secondary level
    • Valid Colorado Driver License
    • Employee must complete a fingerprintbased criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary

    • Serve on a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement strategic plans including but not limited to 90 Day Plan Unified Improvement Plan 5 year Strategic Plan)
    • Coordinate intensive individual student behavior and academic plans coach teachers to implement classroom management systems and positive behavior interventions as prescribed in the CARE (Concise Actionable Redirection of Effort) process.
    • Work with teachers to improve their teaching practice through coaching professional development modeling and collaborative planningLead collaborative teams of students staff families and other stakeholders to support the mission vision and core values of the school
    • Conduct evaluations of certified and classified staff and utilize the teacher evaluation process to improve instruction that will increase student achievement
    • Use multiple data sources to make sound instructional decisions; train and support the staff in the use of the data driven instructional model that communicates the relationships among academic standards effective instruction and student performance
    • Support the recruitment selection and hiring of school staff including teachers and schoolbased support staff
    • Serve as an instructional leader that provides instructional staff with specific feedback and jobembedded coaching to increase the quality of instruction through the use of the observation feedback cycle.
    • Support the continuous improvement process to ensure quality systems of support for student success
    • Support the creation and implementation of the Schools title one plan
    • Recruit and enroll students
