About the tech
We believe in striking a balance between using the right tool for the job and keeping our architecture simple. Our tech stack comprises of Ruby Elixir React Postgres Redis and Kafka. We use an automated pull requestbased continuous integration and feedback workflow. All engineers can deploy to production and we do so several times a day.

We have made huge strides towards our goal of becoming the largest SMB eCommerce courier in the World moving from a singlecountry operation in Australia to a successful launch and operation in the US and Canada. We also launched major partnerships with eBay and Shopify. Our work has a real impact: by powering eCommerce logistics our software is helping realworld businesses deliver real parcels to their customers; this is more than just records in a database.

We are a 100 remote engineering team and have been since the beginning with members all around Australia and North America. Sendle is a trusting and flexible workplace making it a great fit for engineers who know its the results that matter not time spent at the keyboard.
How youll spend your time
Engineers work in crossfunctional product teams with designers customer support marketing and logistics experts.
At Sendle you might work on projects such as integrating with an eCommerce platform improving the way customers manage their parcels or integrating and connecting courier networks in innovative ways. That means crafting solutions that are wellarchitected robust and scalable finding the sweet spot between simplicity and maintainability.
What youll need
Were looking for a highlycollaborative individual who is:
- Excited to build an environmentally sustainable courier business and solve customer problems
- Experienced in working in agile development practices and TDD/BDD
- Energized by working in a team and supporting their team members
- Interested in leading feature development and operationally supporting a production platform
- Comfortable working autonomously with a high degree of personal organization
- Adept at building mid to large applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Hungry to learn and try new things and help others grow and learn
You also have experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Ruby or Elixir enough to be able to jump into a couple of midsized code bases and find your way around
- Knows their way around SQL and PostgreSQL
- React or another modern frontend JavaScript framework
- Supporting applications hosted in the cloud on platforms such as Heroku or AWS
