Job Description:
Oversee and execute the software development of complex projects throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include defining software requirements creating the software platform architecture managing and contributing to the software development process and ensuring successful deployment to production.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing the development integration debug and test of internal software products
- Understand project requirements for GUI/communication interface networking and create specifications based on these requirements
- Review repair and redesign legacy code
- Programable Logic Controler (PLC)
- Manufacturing System (MES)
- Production equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with existing systems
- Participate in reviews with the Engineering team to ensure proper implementation of features
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and departmental engineers to coordinate project requirements and communicate current status
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate is required. Written use of multimedia tools for briefings ability to write procedures and reports. Verbal ability to provide briefings in small to medium size groups of technicians engineers and management
- Attend and support relevant morning stand up reviews and weekly reviews with Manufacturing.
- Active Secret US Security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Software development.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated software development capability using C/C Pearl Cornshell SQL Server and ETL (ExtractTransformLoad)
- Review repair and redesign legacy code
- Configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems
- Experience and skills in troubleshooting contorl system or application webbased issues
- Experience working with C/C data structures and interprocess communications
- LabView
- Python
- Programming Vision Systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence)
- Effective Problem Solving
- Indepth knowledge and application of engineering principles and concepts
