Senior Controls Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking ahighly skilled Senior Controls Engineerto lead automation solutions inPLC HMI SCADA and DCS/DeltaVplatforms. This role requires expertise inEmerson DeltaV Rockwell Automation Siemens and Modiconsystems along withPLC5 to ControlLogix conversionsandnetworking knowledge (Ethernet/IP Profinet Modbus etc..
Thishandson project engineering roleinvolvesleading automation projects collaborating with clients managing technical teams and optimizing industrial processesacross industries such asSemiconductor Life Sciences Building Automation Food & Beverage Water Treatment and General Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have aminimum of 10 years of experience demonstratedclient interaction skills and the ability totravel up to 25 (mostly local to Dallas).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation system design and implementationfor industrial processes and machinery.
- Develop and program control systemsusingPLC DCS/DeltaV HMI/SCADA platforms.
- Handle Emerson DeltaV systemsandPLC5 to ControlLogix conversionsfor system upgrades.
- Perform industrial networking design and implementationusingEthernet/IP Profinet Modbus and other protocols.
- Develop technical documentation including control system architecture schematics and process visualizations.
- Collaborate directly with clientsto gather requirements troubleshoot and provide innovative solutions.
- Lead projects as a Project Manager (PM)while maintaining handson engineering involvement.
- Manage instrumentation batch/recipes OEE MES and ERP systemsto ensure seamless industrial automation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers driving technical excellence across project teams.
- Travel up to 25(mostly within the Dallas area) for client site visits and system commissioning.
MustHave Qualifications:
- 10 years of experiencein control system design automation and project leadership.
- Experience with one or more industries:Semiconductor Life Sciences Building Automation Food & Beverage Water Treatment General Manufacturing.
- Indepth knowledge of Emerson DeltaV platforms withat least 23 years of recent DeltaV experience.
- Proficiency in PLC programming includingPLC5 to ControlLogix conversions.
- Handson experience with PLC hardware/softwaresuch asRockwell Automation Siemens Modicon.
- Expertise in HMI/SCADA platforms includingRockwell FactoryTalk Plant Pax Aveva System Platform Edge Ignition GE iFIX Siemens Winn CC TI Portal.
- Understanding of DCS platforms includingEmerson DeltaVor similar.
- Experience with batch/recipes OEE MES ERP systems.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing instrumentation systems.
- Ability to lead client interactions provide technical expertise and manage engineering projects.
NicetoHave Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCADfor control panel and electrical schematic design.
- PMP certificationfor enhanced project management expertise.
- Background in semiconductor or life sciences industries.
- Experience designing electrical schematics and control panelsincluding power distribution 480VAC NEC compliance).
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Standardoffice and industrial environmentswithonsite visitsas needed.
- Ability to mount/dismount equipment lift objects and perform handson technical tasks.
- Frequentuse of personal computer industrial control systems and engineering software.
