POSITION: Campus Director of Curriculum and Instructional Intervention (DCII)
GRADE LEVEL: Hiring for both middle school and high school positions

SALARY: $72000$87000 based on years of aligned experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!
REPORTS TO: School Director
STATUS: Full time year round benefits eligible exempt inperson position

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Curriculum and Instruction Intervention in partnership with the School Leadership Team is responsible for ensuring all students particularly those with unique learning needs or who are performing significantly below grade level make strong academic growth. The DCII is responsible for coaching and managing teachers to ensure all students achieve success. DCII leads on the vision goals and strategy for Special Education MTSS (MultiTiered Systems of Support) and Intervention at the school. By establishing an inclusive school environment this role supports our belief in the human condition; that every human being strives to be fully known for who they are and the unique contribution they make to the human story.
Curriculum
In partnership with teachers and members of the School Leadership Team ensure all students have access to grade level standards through the creation refinement and differentiation of DSST curriculum materials (assessments plans data tracking)
Work with teachers and members of the Special Services Team to ensure students have access to appropriate curriculum during Intervention courses and Special Education pullout
Instruction
Observe and evaluate teachers in categories that correspond to DSST instructional expectations (in collaboration with School Director)
Lead the Special Education Team in implementing the continuum of Special Education services including inclusion and coteaching pullout instruction and center program settings
Ensure implementation of accommodations in IEPs and 504s
Assessment and Data
Work with Teachers SAL and the Leadership Team to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations in accordance with IEPs and 504s
Support data analysis in coaching of teachers and school wide progress toward goals
Manage MTSS teams including monitoring student performance data and response to intervention
Professional Learning
Develop and execute Professional Learning sessions including those focused on meeting the needs of diverse learners
Provide guidance to the building leadership team around effective instructional approaches and strategies to meet the needs of all diverse learners including students with disabilities
Additional Duties
Build relationships with teachers and other members of the administration team in order to positively impact school culture and results
Recruit and hire school faculty
Work with DSST Home Office to implement networkwide curriculum instructional methodology and other strategic plans to support diverse learners
Manage the Special Education Coordinator and Team as well as the 504 Coordinator to meet all IDEA and ECEA compliance deadlines and to ensure all Special Education and related services are provided
Manage family and advocate concerns and in collaboration with the DSST Home Office mediate escalated situations
If applicable teach one course within the school
Attend Professional Learning opportunities facilitated by the DSST Home Office Curriculum and Instruction Special Services and Teacher Development teams
Serve as a recruiter for new students; actively engage prospective families in an effort to draw more students to choose your school; be willing to take on additional tasks to support recruitment as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DSST Public Schools seeks professionals with strong character passion for excellence and a relentless commitment to our students. The DCII may carry a small IEP caseload and Special Education expertise and a Special Education License is required to lead and support the Special Education team.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required
At least 3 years teaching experience required
At least 2 years in a school or adult leadership position required
Demonstrated ability to coach manage and lead adults to successful outcomes.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color students with disabilities and/or multilingual students
