MANAGER GUIDED TOUR OPERATIONS
Location: Burnaby Operations Office
GrayLine Westcoast Sightseeing is the largest sightseeing tour operator inVancouver! We attribute our success toour passion for Vancouver sharing remarkable experience with our guests andthe strength of our colleagues. To build on this we are searching for aManager for our Guided Tour daily sightseeing operations who will work closelywith our experienced Drivers StepOn Guides Dispatch team and localsightseeing partners. This individual has experience managing and motivatingpeople training quality control logistics and elevating guestexperience. With teamwork in mind thisvalues based colleague will complement our experienced operating team.
- Manages theplanning coordination capacities including vehicle and Driver Guideallocation of our daily sightseeing operations
- Manages the Dispatch team in daytoday Guided Tour operations
- Manages Driver Guides and StepOn Guides to ensure tours policies and procedures are accurately delivered
- Organizing and conducting tasks to ensure safe costeffective and ontime operating performance
- Monitorstourquality control with coaching and ongoing assessment of Driver and StepOnGuide team
- Liaisingwith local sightseeing partners to ensure smooth logistics and strong supplierrelations
- Managing daytoday charter deliveryrequirements
- Supportsrecruitment and hiring initiatives to meet seasonal operational demands
- Leads inhouse DriverGuide Training components and program
- Proactively deals withoperational deficiencies and resolves as necessary
- Communicateschallenges professionally with Drivers Guides Dispatch Shop and Managers
- Proactive communication with team members on operational needs changes or concerns
- Participates on the Health and Safety committee
- Shared rotation in emergency phone coverage
- You have 35 years ofexperience managing and coaching teams
- You possess excellent administrativeattention to detail and time management skills
- You possess strong interpersonalcommunication and active listening skills
- You are available towork a flexible schedule and shiftwork with Tuesday and Wednesdays as days off
- You thrive underpressure and great at creative problem solving
- You bring passion integrityadaptability along with a professional positive attitude
- You possess confidentknowledge in Microsoft Office and are comfortable with guest reservation system
- You have indepth knowledge of VancouverVictoria and Whistler areas
- Youideally have been a Tour Guide before
- You ideally have your Class 2 Commercial DriversLicense
- An experienced driven and supported Leadership team
- Central Burnaby office with access to transit routes
