Job Summary/Purpose
The Data Engineer Senior is an integral member of the product delivery teams assisting the solution architect to drive endtoend technical designs for AI projects to deliver AI products to business customers. The Data Engineer Senior interacts with the solution architect to understand the business stakeholders business and functional requirements and leads with the data engineers within the product team to design and deliver technical solutions leveraging the data analytics platform where possible. The Data Engineer Seniors key knowledge set includes system agile development life cycle integration architectures technology toolsdatabase architectures datamanagementprinciplesdata modelling techniques and methodologies communication andproblem solving. The Data Engineer Senior will assist the solution architect to design and implement large scale enterprisewide data processing solutions database schemas and interfaces to relational and nonrelational databases.Additionally the Data Engineer Senior will design small temporary architectural solutions to support product delivery schedules should the enterprise data analytics platform be unavailable at the time the product must be delivered to a business customer.
The Data Engineer Senior will act as a member of a product team ensuring data engineers team members understand the Solution Architectures being designed and helps guide and oversee the implementation of solution architecture. The Data Engineer Senior will also implement and test the overall architectural solution by ingesting cleaning and organizing data into information used by analytics product.
The Data Engineer Senior will work with other team members on the data analytics platform team to create plans and strategies for adopting new tools technologies and alternative solution architectures including leveraging the cloud.
