Job Description

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Strategy:

Proactively prospect and secure SMERF group business targeting military reunions educational organizations and religious groups.

Focus on extended stay base business identifying corporate clients relocation accounts and longterm project teams in need of multiweek lodging.

Conduct sales calls inperson meetings and site visits to build relationships and showcase hotel offerings.

Respond to inquiries and RFPs in a timely manner ensuring competitive pricing and valuedriven proposals.

Actively update and maintain the hotel Commercial Strategy Quarterly Plan collectively with marketing digital and revenue partners.

Market Expertise & Targeting Key Accounts:

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of extended stay accounts including:

o Healthcare & Medical Travel (hospitals traveling nurses medical training groups)

o Construction & Project Teams

o Corporate Relocations

o SMERF Groups (tournaments religious retreats education conferences etc.

Partner with local businesses and economic development organizations to identify new opportunities.

Work closely with Revenue Management to ensure optimal pricing and longterm stay strategies as well as accurate forecasting.

Client Relationship Management & Coordination:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure repeat business.

Work collaboratively with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless stay experiences for all group corporate and extended stay business.

Partner with brand and local marketing teams to create targeted promotional materials.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

Maintain an updated and accurate sales pipeline tracking revenue opportunities.

Meet or exceed monthly sales activity goals (calls site visits proposals conversion rates).

Provide regular reports on extended stay production group revenue and key market trends.

Digital Tools and Technology Utilization: Utilize digital sales systems (e.g. CVENT CRM PMS ZoomInfo LinkedIn etc. for managing leads and streamlining sales processes. Stay proficient in technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in sales efforts.

Training and Development: Stay current on industry trends and best practices in sales and hospitality. Share knowledge with the team and participate in training sessions to improve sales techniques and strategies.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the GM Regional Director of Sales and other departments to ensure alignment in sales strategies and objectives. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages sharing insights and resources.

Qualifications:

13 years of hospitality sales experience (or related experience in corporate group or extended stay sales).

Strong understanding of extended stay business models and corporate longterm stay needs.

Experience with SMERF group sales preferred but not required.

Relationshipdriven and proactive in securing business opportunities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hotel sales tools (CVENT CRM etc..

Selfmotivated and goaloriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
