BECOME A MECHANIC AT PRIMEFLIGHT!
Our Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance repair and servicing of a wide range of airport equipment and vehicles ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues performing complex repairs and conducting routine maintenance tasks. You will also keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs collaborate with other team members and adhere to safety protocols and regulations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of airport equipment.
WHAT ITS LIKE TO WORK AS A MECHANIC
Understand engineering documentations such as sketches drawings schematics wiring diagrams logic diagrams and give feedback to immediate supervisor on possible discrepancies
Diagnose/troubleshoot equipment system failures isolate cause and take necessary corrective action
Troubleshoot/analyze/repair PLC equipment to module level
Evaluate/assist with engineering in the uses of current and future PLC equipment
Make sketches and instructions when needed
Use various tools to include standard electronic hand tools precision measuring instruments shop equipment (drill press grinder saws etc. fabrication equipment (wirewrap crimp and solder station) as necessary to accomplish assigned work
Read job specifications and work orders to plan work procedures
Diagnose engine issues with or without computer software
Diagnose chassis electrical system issues with or without computer software
Understand hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
Work in a garage or outside on shop grounds
Brings their A game every day with energy and enthusiasm respect for their team and the highest regard for safety
May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have minimum tools to perform the maintenance and repair work
Must have a valid stateissued drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to read write speak and understand the English language to include documents
Ability to use electronic devices including iPad/Tablets Computers and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both inperson and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA TSA Port Authority U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal as applicable)

Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (threedimensional vision ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
