Description:
We are seeking a talentedSoftware Engineer (MEAN/MERN) individual to join ourMMC Tech team atMarsh McLennan. This role will be based inClujNapoca Romania as part of our local Tech Hub.
Marsh McLennan (MMC) has established its EMEA Technology Hub in Cluj Romania reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. This hub is central to our digital strategy addressing emerging challenges and enhancing service delivery through advanced technology solutions that empower our clients and promote sustainable growth.
We will count on you to:
- Design and develop robust software solutions in line with Oliver Wymans strategic direction.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers contributing to the mentoring of junior staff.
- Uphold high standards of code quality and participate in the establishment of best practices.
- Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the teams capabilities.
What you need to have:
- Excellent communication both in English and Romanian
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and learning.
- Education: A bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field is preferred. Portfolio of completed projects can be considered as the alternative to the formal education.
- Experience: A minimum of 24 years of experience in software development with a focus on MEAN Stack technologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript TypeScript Node.js React Express.js Angular SQL and NoSQL DBs.
- Experience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
- Good understanding of system design Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle
