Job Description

The ValueAdded Services Product Development (VAS PD) team drives the diversification of our revenue with products that differentiate our network and deliver valuable solutions across other rails.  The teams strategy is to increase total merchant value by developing solutions that address complex and emerging merchant and acquirer needs.

 

The Vice President of Risk Solutions Product Development will lead the teams that build innovative AIdriven risk and fraud management solutions for issuers and merchants. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy planning and of technologyrelated initiatives that support our business goals with a focus on products including Visa Risk Manager (VRM) Decision Manager (DM) Visa Protect A2A etc.

  • Develop implement and oversee strategic plans for the Risk Solutions technology team ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.

  • Oversee the design development and deployment of cuttingedge payment risk and fraud management systems ensuring they are secure efficient and scalable.

  • Continually assess the effectiveness of the existing systems and processes making improvements or changes where necessary.

  • Collaborate with the Product teams to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements of existing products to meet our customers requirements and provide Visa with a competitive edge.

  • Lead and manage a highperforming technology team fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This includes hiring training mentoring and performance management.

  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies trends and best practices in payment authentication and identity management integrating them into the companys strategies and operations where beneficial.

  • Understand the cost of delivery and effectively estimate project costs for large complex crossfunctional projects.

  • Drive development of projects and lead teams across multiple geographical locations.

  • Provide leadership to teams across risk domains establish high standards and best engineering practices.

  • Drive adoption and innovation of emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership through presentations and teaching across Visa. Represent Visa as a technical advisor or spokesperson on external activities particularly client engagement.

  • Champion a culture of innovation in an environment that requires high levels of scalability security and reliability.  Understanding and use of GenAI technologies is a must.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
20 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD PhD).
Recent coding experience: the candidate must be handson with the ability to review code and engage with technical details directly.
Experience with building AIpowered decisioning solutions.
Experience with developing Risk products is a plus.
Experience leading large global technology teams as well as a broad software engineering and Generative AI leadership background
Experience working in Agile framework and comfortable working in a matrixed organization.
Strong commercial acumen to forecast business trends and translate into agile technology solutions.
Proven track record of delivering scalable secure and high quality mobile and web applications preferably in the payments fintech or loyalty domains.
Expertise in building scalable cloudbased services.
Contributions across a broad technical range including Systems Architecture product development and R&D experience leading to successful large scale product implementations.
Experience in M&A (evaluation integration etc.
Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and strategies that have significantly improved revenue generating products and their profitability.
Strong knowledge of emerging technology trends industry standards and best practices in Software Engineering and in the field of risk and fraud management.
Experience in managing and optimizing geographically dispersed crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless project and delivery.

Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510 of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 222600 to 386300 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
