Be our next Senior Civil Engineer Aviation for our Florida team. This position can be located in Miami Fort Lauderdale Orlando Tampa or Jacksonville.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Overall management of tasks performed under project contract and primary pointofcontact for all contractual issues.
- Will help build a delivery team for airport civil projects.
- Will be charged with planning budgeting construction documents preparation and construction administration.
- Ensures that quality work is completed on schedule and within budget
- Identify research and qualify RFP/ RFQs and upcoming projects
- Lead design efforts in some or all of the following areas:
- Airfield geometry
- Airfield pavement design
- Airfield lighting and signage
- Utility installation and relocation
- Construction phasing including development of Construction Phasing and Safety Plans
- Airport access roads and security facilities
- Landside transportation facilities
- Assist with aviation group project management and business development:
- Technical reports presentations and client communications
- Task delivery budget management and quality control
- Supervise the work of junior team members
- Serve as strategic partner with firm Directors and project teams to coordinate create and manage the RFPs/RFQs and presentation process.
- Initiate and maintain client contact.
- Identify and participate in conferences and speaking engagements.
- Assist with presentation materials for speaking engagements.
- Create and assemble brochures presentations and proposals as needed in coordination with the marketing and business development group.
- Meets on a regular basis with Practice Area leaders
The Skills and Knowledge You Bring
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer in Florida
- 12 years of experience with aviation and airfield design experience
- Solid client relations and business development experience (preferred)
- Proven Project Manager
- Proficient in MS Office PowerPoint MSProject and InDesign. Photoshop & Illustrator a plus.
- Deep knowledge of the regional market drivers and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write persuasively.
- Experience with governmental forms required for proposal submissions.
- Must display strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness in accomplishing the firms internal and external marketing objectives.
- Must be a strategic thinker.
- Must have the ability to travel 20 of the time.
