About Us:

New York Edge is the largest provider of after school and summer camp programs in New York City public schools. Each year programs in academicsincluding STEM the arts sports & wellness and college access help 40000 students develop leadership skills and succeed in school. Working parents count on our programs to provide safe and enriching environments for their children.


Summary:

New York Edge is seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate to fill the role of HR Recruitment Specialist. In this parttime role you will be responsible for finding sourcing attracting and hiring talent with the goal to fulfill New York Edges hiring needs. As recruiting talented people is getting harder this position will play a crucial role for our New York Edge to stay competitive in the market.


Pay:

$2527/hr (based on experience)


Job Type:

Part Time Yearlong


Schedule:

MonFri 25 hours a week


Essential Job Functions:

  • Search resume databases for the most fit candidates

  • Communicate with Hiring Managers to gain better understanding of needs

  • Support organizational recruitment goals and objectives

  • Write and proofread job descriptions

  • Recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements

  • Interview candidates following New York Edges rules and regulations

  • Adhere to laws rules and regulations

  • Adhere to personal data privacy regulations

  • Prepare a report on a weekly basis for the tasks completed or in progress


Required Skills:

  • Passion about HR and Talent Acquisition methods

  • Ability and willingness to learn about the position requirements

  • Ability to scan large volumes of resumes

  • Understanding and familiarity with Recruitment Marketing

  • Good understanding and experience with HR tools such as ATS and HRIS

  • Thinker and problemsolving skills

  • Team player

  • Good timemanagement skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or relevant field

  • Minimum of two years of workrelated skill knowledge or experience is required
