Harrison Western was founded in 1968 and has provided superior design and construction services to the mining and civil industries for over 50 years. We have entered a Joint Venture with Shaft Sinkers to construct a new utility shaft at WIPP (Waste isolation Pilot Plant). WIPP is a Department of Energy facility located near Carlsbad New Mexico. When the project is completed the final shaft will measure 26 feet in diameter and extend to 2275 feet below the surface.
We are looking for experienced Shaft Mechanics. Shaft Mechanics provide technical diagnosis and troubleshooting machine rebuilds overhauls and component replacement.
The WIPP project is expected to take up to three years to complete. Open positions will be based on the operational need and may be months to years in duration. All positions are located at the WIPP site 26 miles southeast of Carlsbad New Mexico.
