Job Description
USED CAR MANAGER
Department: Sales
Reports to: General Sales Manager
Job Summary: The Used Car Manager oversees the used car inventory acquires used vehicles for the dealership and establishes pricing based on market conditions and dealership goals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain used car inventory; manage physical and online inventory
- Meet monthly forecast for used car sales volume sustaining sufficient gross to meet profit objectives.
- Appraise all incoming used vehicles; ensure that cosmetic and mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealerships cost and time limitations
- Keep informed of auto auction activity and prices; attend auctions on a regular basis
- Establish processes and controls wholesaling activities
- Enhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experience
- Communicate daily with sales management team regarding anything relevant to used car targets and inventory
- Know and understand the federal state and local laws which govern retail automotive sale
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of Automotive Sales Management experience USED CAR MANAGEMENT PREFERRED
- Ability to work independently and be selfmotivated
- Knowledge of the local market and auctions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Ability to work well in a process driven environment
- Clean drivers license and must be insurable through liability insurance company Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in stationary position 80
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions Universal Responsibilities
