The Opportunity
Our Pipeline Integrity Field Services team in Houston TX is looking for a motivated Pipeline Integrity Engineer to support our assessment and repairs group.
We are seeking an accomplished Pipeline Integrity Engineer with demonstrable expertise in pipeline integrity management US regulatory environment and a strong engineering background. This individual has the proven skills competencies and capacity to help guide the group into developing innovative efficient and effective solutions using prudent engineering practices and to provide leadership and mentoring.

What youll do
Support and drive a strong safety culture in line with corporate and department initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for pipeline integrity engineers.
Collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside the group to review and develop procedures and processes evaluate and approve the use of new technologies and support continuous improvement.
Coordinate and lead projects and initiatives of significant size and complexity with focus on interactive threat assessment and management.
Engage with industry groups (PRCI API INGAA etc. and initiatives to help advance industry knowledge as well as improve company practices by leveraging developments in science and technology.
Provide expertise in technical areas such as Pipeline Assessment Equipment Maintenance Inspection and repair decisions Failure Investigation Risk Management Pipe Design Pipeline Construction and Pipeline Operations and Maintenance.
Engage with stakeholders both internal and external to help define the challenges and develop the path forward to implement pragmatic solutions.
Perform Engineering Assessments for increasing pipeline pressures Operational changes assessing pipeline reliability and for developing strategies to mitigate threats to pipeline integrity.
Develop and foster ongoing relationships with internal and external contacts e.g. peers directors executives government agencies landowners peers at competitor companies etc..
Minimum Qualifications
10 Years of relevant and progressive experience
A degree in relevant engineering major from an accredited university or degree in related major with commensurate relevant industry experience
If based in Calgary must be registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng. in good standing
Indepth knowledge and understanding of applicable industry codes and standards (CFR 192 ASME B31.8 ASME B31.8S CSA Z662 Various PHMSA Advisories Relevant API standards etc.
Exposure to and understanding of industry research and technology.
Broad expertise in pipeline integrity functions and understanding of pipeline operations.
Good working knowledge of pipe inspection and repair technologies
Preferred Qualifications
PE certification is preferred.
A graduate degree or commensurate experience is highly desirable.
Experience with datadriven decision processes and data analytics is a plus.

Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments meetings or training (estimated up to 20 of work schedule)
