Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant 2 (MA2 performs medical or technical procedures within a Medical Assistants scope of practice and under direction of the physician(s) assists the medical staff and physician(s) in providing clinical and administrative support throughout the medical office and provides guidance/mentorship to the practices other Medical Assistants.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
- 1 year of experience in the medical field required
- Previous experience in giving injections required
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
