Description
Position Purpose:
The Student Housing Specialist is responsible for managing student housing applications at Charis Bible College. They work closely with prospective and current students to ensure a smooth transition into campus housing provide support and guidance throughout the housing application process and maintain accurate records. Additionally they collaborate with college staff to address any housingrelated issues or concerns regarding admissions and strive to create a safe supportive and welcoming living environment for all students.
Essential Duties:
- Assist prospective students with inquiries related to oncampus housing options application procedures and deadlines.
- Provide guidance and information to students regarding housing policies amenities and living arrangements.
- Process housing applications review eligibility criteria and ensure all required documentation & deposits are completed accurately and on time.
- Work in collaboration with the Admissions team to assist the students in an overall success plan for relocation.
- Collaborate with the Residence Life Team in the Housing Admissions process.
- Maintain accurate records of student housing applications assignments and occupancy status using the colleges housing management system.
- Prepare housing reports statistical data and other documentation for college administration and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with campus departments to ensure seamless integration of housing services with overall student support initiatives.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of housing policies regulations and best practices in higher education.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and college staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and housing management software.
- Must be able to effectively operate a Windowsbased computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Charis Bible College.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management student housing management admissions or residential life at a college or university is preferred.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
