Our site is 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati where there are multiple attractions including The Newport Aquarium and The Cincinnati Zoo. Cincinnati is also the home AFC Champions the Cincinnati Bengals the Cincinnati Reds the Cincinnati Cyclones and FC Cincinnati of Major League Soccer.
Job Description:
As an Assembler C you will be responsible for a variety of assembly operations tasksassembling precision electrooptical semiconductor components and soldering under levels of optical magnification. Additionally you will be responsible for following standard practices and procedures to operate leaded equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Complete assigned solder processes as required (ie. Soldering components configuring cabling and configuring wires)
- Support group objectives for ontime delivery
- Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components for customer deliverables
- Verify use of most updated procedures
- Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
- Perform torque training inspection of hardware and mechanical assembly
- Crimping cables with a wide range of tools (ex. Hand crimping tools).
- Assist is guiding peers in completing daily tasks
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years or more expeience in proficient computer skills including ability to navigate email and Microsoft office.
- 2 years or more experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions.
- JSTD Solder experience
- 2 years or more experience in effective communication.
- 2 years or more experience with the use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers plyers wire strippers etc.
- 2 years or more experience in using a microscope for long periods of time.
- 2 years or more experience in spraying coating on PWBs.
- Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Capable of performing manual labor.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Prolonged standing
- Must be able to move from lab to lab and inside the lab that you are located in
