Looking for a highly motivated and analytical pricing analyst to join the FCSD cost estimating team. The pricing analyst will play a key role in developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profit based on evolving market conditions.
In this position...
Candidate should able to analyze the validity of automotive supplier part pricing tooling packaging and contract requests in a low volume/automotive service environment. Candidate will need to be able to explain pricing adjustments for change in mfg process volume impact and inflation. Candidate should be able to calculate a should cost. Candidate should be comfortable analyzing large often partial data sets and be able to extrapolate conclusions. The candidate should be able to explain cost changes to internal and external stake holders that have differing agendas
Responsibilities
What youll do...
- Strong computer skills and be able to analyze large amounts of data in varying formats
- Have basic understanding of various mfg process (Stamping machining injection molding casting and asm) and how the switch from high volume to low volume impacts cost
- Calculate analyze and adjust estimates based on mfg efficiency floorspace and inflation
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw conclusions
- Operate in a grey space environment with minimal direction and multiple projects
- Data mine public indexes
Qualifications
Youll have...
- Bachelor of Science or BA (Engineering Technology or Finance related fields)
- 2 years of experience in pricing or estimating
- 2 years of experience working with Excel Powerpoint and/or SAP (purchasing systems)
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written speaking and listening)
- Ability to travel (as required)
Even better you may have...
- Masters Degree of Science (Engineering Technology or Finance related fields)
- 3 years of experience in pricing or estimating
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Management Aspirations
