Job Description
Description of the role:
The Respite Care Worker will provide respite behavioral health care services to youth by providing structured activities in a safe and productive environment. Hours for this position are Monday Thursday and Friday 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturday daytime hours.
Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily activities and provide emotional support
Create a safe and nurturing environment for clients
Follow care plans and protocols set by supervisors
Maintain accurate documentation

About the Company:
The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth Atchison and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide highquality care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay. Qualifications for Respite Care Worker
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or GED required. Must be 21 years of age or older and have six months experience working with youth. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.
Preferred: One year of college course work or one year experience in the field of human services or a combination of each; experience working with youth with mental health issues.
