Job Description

Job Duties

. Performance Management (for employees who supervise others)
Expectations are clear well communicated and relate to the goals and objectives of the department or unit;
Staff receive frequent constructive feedback and coaching including interim evaluations as appropriate.
Staff have the necessary knowledge skills and abilities to accomplish goals and are evaluated for competency throughout the evaluation cycle;
The requirements of the performance planning and evaluation system are met and evaluations are completed by established deadlines with proper documentation;
Performance issues are addressed and documented as they occur in accordance with the Standards of Conduct;
nternal Audit
Assists with organizing conducting and participating in Internal Audit Programs and Tracer Methodology to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
Conducts internal audits including medical record reviews and other compliance assessments
Coordinates the needs of the audit program (i.e. participating in audits as assigned training auditors other duties as required to maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of the audit program)
Plans organizes and effectively manages audits. Conducts audits and submits audit reports within the agreed upon timelines and as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires excellent facilitation relationship skills and verbal and written communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills tact and diplomacy. Requires critical thinking conceptual thinking and decisionmaking skills. Must have strong analytical problemsolving and data management skills. Must have knowledge of basic computer technology and webbased programs/ navigation and medical terminology. Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts is required.

Additional Considerations

Experience in regulatory mandates for investigations concerning abuse neglect and exploitation in accordance with 12VAC35115 and 37.2400 of the Code of Virginia.
