Location: The Village of Southampton an Independent and Assisted Living with Memory Caresenior community.
Shifts Available:
- 2:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m.
PRN Shifts Available
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing dressing grooming toileting transferring and dining while encouraging as much independence as possible.
- Serve meals in the dining room or residents apartments assist in meal preparation and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
- Initiate and participate in leisure activities encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
- Maintain accurate and timely records documenting leisure activities incidents observations and any changes in residents conditions.
- Ensure a clean safe and orderly environment for residents performing general housekeeping duties.
- Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
- Know each residents location remind them to sign out when leaving and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
- Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with coworkers.
- Attend all required inservice training sessions.
- Be an active member of the communitys emergency response team.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience preferably with seniors.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problemsolving skills good judgment and attention to detail.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
